THE INSPIRATION
Baybayin is an ancient Filipino script used long before Spain colonized the Philippines. It is used widely in the island of Luzon before the introduction of Latin script in the country.
This poster invites people to celebrate Filipino music and art (sining at musika).
PROBLEM: Filipino music and art are heavily influenced by Western media nowadays. The event is to help the present generation to be familiar with Filipino music and art and celebrate these key cultural components.

This poster features an ancient Filipino tribal pattern as well as the ancient Baybayin text. I chose the color palettes that would represent culture. The Baybayin text translates to the word "Sining" meaning "art".

THE INSPIRATION
As a child, I was surrounded by Middle Eastern art and culture. Growing up in the Middle East, I developed a passion for art, culture, and language.
Arabic is a language widely used in the Middle East and is spoken by millions of people. To me, Arabic is a beautiful language with an amazing script.
CONCEPT: Islamic art is widely celebrated in the Arab world. This poster is created to Celebrate Islamic Art and its roots.

This poster is Arabic themed, with the Arabic Calligraphy and Islamic patterns featured. The Islamic art is famous for its geometrical shapes and beautiful calligraphy. The Arabic Calligraphy translates to "Islamic".
